Is modding Minecraft Windows ten possible?

Just a random idea that popped up in my caput. Did anyone try it?

Yep, it's possible, just for now at to the lowest degree, it's much much much harder to practise than in the Java edition. Technically yes, but information technology'south non anywhere near as feasible as the java edition is with Forge.

IIRC, Mojang announced that their Mod API will be on the Bedrock Edition, just even they aren't expecting the initial version to be able to anywhere near comparable with Forge, though they hope to one twenty-four hour period reach a similar level.

why would you want? you cant do ASM hacks then some things wont exist possible. On top of that Mojang will take forever to make the API into an usable land since forge has a lot of features. And a C modding customs will be slow to form. i thing a decent amount of people here use linux so the size will exist limited.

I've never used ASM in any of my mods (or even know how to exercise it or read bytecode, and I believe that newer versions of Java consider this to be illegal since manipulating code at runtime is all to much like malware) yet can practise things much more than easily than Forge considering I don't use it either; I just use MCP to directly edit the code, which lets you do literally anything and is also likely far more than efficient (an in-development version of my modernistic simply needs 256 MB of RAM despite adding hundreds of new blocks/items/biomes/etc. Certain, information technology is incompatible with whatsoever other mod other than Optifine (by avoiding classes that it modifies) simply I primarily modern for myself). Here is an example of how extensively I've modified the base of operations game, note the differences on the correct. I doubt you could get away with this level of modification with Forge, certainly not if you wanted any compatibility (irresolute things like method signatures/parameter lists/types volition certainly cause bug).
